History of the company and the way forward.
The history of WIEDEN s.r.o. began in 1991, when Pavel Wieden founded FENESTRA s.r.o.
We have specialized in the design and implementation of atypical glazed structures and facades made of aluminium profiles since that date. In 2000, the company’s name was changed to FENESTRA WIEDEN s.r.o. and the Fenestra Wieden brand has been developed since. The development of the company activities and the constant increase in the volume of orders led to the relocation of the company to a larger production facility in Liberec-Hanychov in 2005, where the company has its operating facility still.
Besides the local Czech market, FENESTRA WIEDEN s.r.o. is focused on activities in Northern Europe, where in 2006 it successfully completed its first façade contract in Reykjavik, Iceland. Over the time, the focus of activities has shifted to Sweden and the local market has become the priority for the company. To this date, a number of significant façade contracts have been won in Sweden.
In March 2019, ARX Equity Partners joined the company as the new majority owner. At the same time, a part of Skanska a.s. with experience acquired from undertaking projects in Sweden, Norway, Poland, Slovakia and Romania, was acquired namely the Facade Division based in Prague – Horni Pocernice. The company Fenestra Wieden Prague s.r.o. was newly established.
In January 2020, Fenestra Wieden Prague s.r.o.merged with FENESTRA WIEDEN s.r.o. becoming WIEDEN s.r.o
We believe that the shared capacity, know-how and long-term experience from projects at home and abroad will help us to further develop WIEDEN s.r.o. and fulfill our long-term goal of being one of the major recognized suppliers of curtain walls and façades in the European region.
